Everyone is going through what seems to be a dramatic, traumatic, annoying, however you feel to express it-time in their life. Kids my age are dealing with the COVID-19 quarantine differently. Despite social distancing, there are still ways that we can help each other. Sending a text message can change someone’s day. Even a word can change someone’s perspective. I believe we should take this opportunity to get to know the people around us, but especially to get to know ourselves. We’re young and when we’re in school most kids don’t know how to be themselves. They don’t know because of what’s all around us. I feel content in saying that I do not know who I am or who I’m going to be, but that’s okay. Most people don’t. I feel content in saying that I don’t know where our world will be even a month from now. We can’t focus on the future in circumstances like this. We can only think about the present, and the memories we have and are able to share now. I know that people are scared and that’s normal. That’s totally fine. It’s “totally fine,” because YOU are not alone. It sucks that this is happening, but a lot of things in life happen that suck. You just have to be thankful and blessed for what life HAS given you. It’s not about how terrible things are, it is about how you handle it and rise above it.

It’s not about how terrible things are, it is about how you handle it and rise above it.
