Rivers Stater, Sophomore

Sophomore Rivers Stater seldomly has nothing to do. She is either at school, Cheer Texas, running on the track or riding her horses.

Stater, who describes herself as truthful, funny and outgoing, keeps herself busy with her activities seven days a week. Next to school, cheerleading takes up the majority of her time.

“I have to make sacrifices between my social life and cheer,” Stater said. “I always make sure I (stay) ahead of my school work.”

When it comes to prioritizing her school work, Stater said she she puts her most important subjects in front of her other classes. Even with her busy lifestyle, Stater said she still finds time to take in the peacefulness of country life, and can often be seen outdoors riding her horses or enjoying her other animals.

“I’m a country girl,” Stater said.”I have two horses, two miniature goats, three miniature donkeys and a lot of chickens.”
