Lady Raider Volleyball Continues Winning Streak to Area
The Lady Raiders varsity volleyball team won bi-district 3-0 against the Abilene Cooper Cougars Oct. 29 and will continue on to compete in area. The area game against the Eastwood Troopers will be Nov. 2 in Seminole, Texas. Game time is 6 p.m.
Varsity player, sophomore Delaney Patterson said the team has been preparing for their playoff games by watching film of their competitors’ games. They have also been altering their practices to counter the strengths and weaknesses of their opponents. She said the Raider seniors have truly been a motivator to her.
“The seniors’ enthusiasm and experience encourage the other girls to keep going and that senior year isn’t time to call it quits,” Patterson said.
