Boys’ golf team places 7th in state

The boys’ golf team placed 7th in the 5A state golf tournament last week in Georgetown. The team, which consists of seniors Stetson Provence, Jerry Montano and Caden Condrad, and sophomores Wyatt Provence and Jacob Montano, are coached by Ben Gilliland. This was the first time the Raider team has qualified to compete at state in 12 years, the last time being in 2009. The state competition was a two day tournament. On day one, the Raiders shot 306 and sat in 6th place. The second day, the Raiders shot 312 to finish the tournament.
