Seniors Davis Blaser and Brianna Hall will play leads in Randall’s production of “Beauty and the Beast.”

Those who grew up loving Disney’s characters Belle, Beast, Gaston, Chip and Cogsworth are sure to be excited about Randall’s production of “Beauty and the Beast.”

The musical will open tonight at 7 p.m. in the West Auditorium. For those who cannot attend opening night, there will be additional performances on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets must be purchased in advance on Ticketspicket. Tickets cost $10.

Preparation for this production began in October, which includes close to 80 people from Randall’s theater, choir and band departments and students from Pinnacle and Westover. Students in Productions, Advanced Theater and Choir make up the cast and crew, while the band will provide the music. The musical is directed by Randall theater teachers Emmy Collins and Cy Scroggins, and Collins made most of the costumes. The Maestro is Ginger Denney, Chorus Masters are Kelli Harter and Matthew Miller, Westover Park Director is Lorraine Chavez and Mika Daniels and Pinnacle Director is Jacki Selman. Senior Brianna Hall will play just one of many parts in the musical, Belle.

“Belle is really fun to play because I connect with her a lot,” Hall said. “I love books and all the songs she sings. Overall, she is just a really fun part to play because I am surrounded by a lot of amazing actors.”
