Girls Golf Team Looks To Seniors For Leadership

The Lady Raiders girls’ golf team, coached by Kasey Ketelhut, is looking to seniors Tylie De Los Santos, Kylie Bradford and Amariyah Moreno for leadership.

De Los Santos is a four year varsity player who has already broke her personal record by shooting a 78 in the Lady Raiders Invitational earlier this fall.

During this Sept. 23-24 tournament, the Raiders finished in third place with a team score of of 345. The team will compete again Oct. 7-8 at the Amarillo Invitational.

“We hope to continue to improve,” Coach Ketelhut said. “I’m happy with the team I have. We are full of great players and have to work hard this year to beat last year’s score.”

I am proud of the team and hope we have a better score this upcoming game.

Ketelhut said the team’s goal is to be district champions and make it to state. With the Lady Raiders senior leadership and performance, they are optimistic.

The ladies are coming off a strong season last year where they won a few tournaments and recorded competitive scores, but fell short of their goals. According to Ketelhut, this year’s team is practicing harder and are constantly working on improving their scores.
