Randall’s One Act Productions Team

This past Wednesday, Randall’s theater productions team competed at regionals with their One Act play, “A View From The Bridge” and won 1st place. Individually, Frankie Ray won best performer and Zaylee Carson and Ryder Brewton won all star cast. The team will leave for state, which will be at the University of Texas in Austin, May 2 where they will compete May 5.

“A View From The Bridge” is a play by Arthur Miller that tells the story of Eddie Carbone (played by Frankie Ray), an Italian American Longshoreman, whose household is upended by the arrival of his wife’s (played by Brionna Todd) cousins from Italy. Their arrival sets in motion a chain of events that leads to Eddie’s dramatic undoing.

The last time theater won state was in 2019 with their show, “Never the Center.”

“I am happy that our show has made it this far,” Ray said. “It’s my last year so I have to make it count.”

This will be Ray’s third time competing at state.

“I believe we have a shot at wining state,” Ray said. “Theater has been an amazing for me and I love all the friends I’ve made made along the way.  I hope we win.”
