The Raiders boys’ basketball team was eliminated from the playoffs after losing 66-44 to El Paso Austin Monday night.
The Raiders struggled with shooting early while Austin had no intentions of slowing down. Despite 19 points from Joseph Scott, the Raiders were unable to keep up with Austin’s offense. After trailing by a large margin early, the Raiders were unable to recover and failed to reach the regional tournament.
The Raiders finished the season with a 20-11 record and advanced to the regional quarterfinals. Although the 2009-2010 season is now over, the future is bright for the Raiders, as they will lose only two starters to graduation, and will return leading scorers Ridrell Holman and Joseph Scott.
