Traditional theory unfair to students

Traditional+theory+unfair+to+students

Originally just a concept in the mid-1900s, Intelligent Design (ID) has become a new way of looking at the history of biology.

Evolution is usually the main theory when it comes to the development of species in biology, but ID provides an alternative answer to concepts previously unanswered by Evolution. ID suggests that a “higher power” may be the reason for some biological developments.

The theory of evolution has many gaps, as every theory does, and students learning the concept might ask “why”. ID helps to provide an answer to their questions without imposing Christianity on them or the people teaching it. Evolution was originally developed by an amateur English naturalist by the name of Charles Darwin and it suggests a “common ancestor” by which every living thing descended. Another theory closely tied to evolution is the Big Bang Theory, which ultimately says the building blocks of like randomly appeared as the product of a huge explosion that supposedly created the entire universe as we know it. ID can’t rightfully be excluded because it tries to answer how the big bang happened.

ID is not a violation of any of the laws regarding the separation of church and state. Just like evolution, ID is a theory that simply seeks to satisfy the human nature of constantly wanting to know everything about how the universe works, how it came to be, and what is the driving force behind it. ID never actually mentions God or the Bible, just simply suggests a higher power.

Scientific theories are exactly as they state: theories. The scientific community is constantly thinking up new explanations on how the universe came to be. No one is truly capable of knowing exactly how it happened because no one was there. Some people assume that because ID suggests a higher power, it means it’s trying to say God is the reason behind all creation. ID tries to explain that humans are incapable of fully understanding certain things in the universe.

The idea that evolution should be the only thing excepted among students in a classroom is simply unfair. Theories cannot be proven and are very subjective to change, having a closed mind to these things could potentially be detrimental to those learning them.
