Forensic Teacher, Chelsea Bivens
Forensic teacher Chelsea Bivens has worked at Randall for nine years. She has also taught biology and was a science RTI teacher.
“I choose this job because I wanted to teach and the job was available,” Bivens said. “Randall is a great school, and I was lucky that they were hiring when I was looking for a job.”
Bivens said she has not always wanted to be a teacher. When she was young, she wanted to be a firefighter or a veterinarian. She eventually decided to go into education because she wanted to make a difference in the lives of students.
“My favorite part about working here is working with the students,” Bivens said. “My favorite memory as a teacher is when I had a student who came to me about problems he was having. He went away for a bit, but when he came back he was doing much better. He hugged me and told me that I saved his life.”
Spencer Maddox is a senior, and this is his second year on the newspaper staff. Maddox said he wanted to be on newspaper staff because it sounded fun.
