On Jan. 9-13 band members will audition for Area Band Competition. Out of the 68 students who auditioned for All-Region, 63 made the All-Region Band with 41 qualified to compete at Area. Band director Ginger Denny she is beyond proud of the work her students have put into this. The competition will be digitally recorded as students play three etudes each challenging a different skill. Depending on the instrument, the top one or two students advance to the state band where they will play among some of the top high school musicians in the state.
