Every guy is different and has different tastes; some guys are very picky and others have almost no opinion for anything. The holidays are stressful times for girlfriends or sisters looking for a gift for the boy in their life. Here are 10 creative ideas for what to buy or make:
- Make a scrapbook full of times you’ve shared. Ticket stubs from dates, pictures from prom, etc.
- Save up and buy something he has really been wanting. A video game, a certain cologne, etc.
- Make a booklet of coupons that pertain specifically to him. For boyfriends: I’ll-pay-for-the-next-date pass, etc. For brothers: I’ll-wash-the-dog pass, etc.
- If he is at a turning point in his life, (Going to college, starting high school, moving into his first apartment, etc.) make a survival kit full of things he might need. For a first apartment: a box of dryer sheets, a roll of quarters, toilet paper, etc.
- Buy a stocking full of all the little things he likes (dollar store novelties). Tiny maze games, coloring books, animal crackers, little Lego kits, etc.
- Make a pictures frame out of odds and ends and put his favorite picture of you in it.
- Make a CD of all his favorite songs or any special songs you share with him.
- If he is musical, invest in strange and random instruments. A ukulele, a harmonica, a slide whistle, etc., or a combination of different ones.
- If he is a tech geek, think about getting something electronic. A light up Rubix Cube, accessories for any gaming systems or other devices he has, etc.
- Finally, get him something that maybe you don’t like as much. For example, if he loves toy helicopters but you can’t stand them, get him one anyways because it shows him you care.
