Cyber sickness brought to the attention of Apple

Recently Apple has been receiving some complaints from its iPhone users. They are complaining about the new IOS 7 update and its 3D features.  Some people are claiming that the new moveable wallpapers and moving messages are giving them motion sickness and nausea.

“I’ve heard complaints about  how people just don’t like the IOS 7 update at all,” sophomore Annika Schwartzenburg said. “But I don’t think [they] should complain to the company.”

According to a tech expert the actual name for this is ‘cyber sickness’ and it’s not an uncommon thing. Now that the IOS 7 update doesn’t just come with the bumps and shadows to create the illusion of the screen being 3D but now the actual features on the phone move.

“It’s different and it might take a while to get used to but overall I think it is pretty good,” Schwartzenburg said. “I like it because there was no dramatic change. Everything still looks the same besides icon changes and lock screen changes.”

Anyone suffering from this odd cyber sickness can go to their settings and adjust the movement level to help with their symptoms. Moreover if you’re on your phone for so long that it gives you a headache and nausea maybe you should put it down anyways.
