Foreign exchange program offers Randall students a chance to study abroad

Each year, Randall students welcome foreign exchange students from around the world. They ask questions about their home countries, listen for their accents and show them American traditions.  A select few may wonder what it would be like to be the exchange student spending a year in a foreign country, attending a foreign school.

Lindy Wakefield, a representative of foreign exchange program CCI Greenheart, said there are many opportunities for Randall High students to become foreign exchange students.

“The options here are numerous,” Wakefield said. “The best way to get tailored information is for a student to send me their age, when they would like to travel, how long and to what country.”

Wakefield said she will then send the student specific information and help navigate the options. CCI Greenheart offers full year, semester, and trimester programs.  Students need to be 15-18 years of age, have a minimum 2.75 GPA and strong extracurricular/community involvement.
