TikTok is TikToxic

It has come to the attention of many that the widely popular platform ‘TikTok’ is toxic. This app promotes dangerous challenges and unachievable beauty standards. Countless families have lost their children because of this app, and some children have even lost sight of what truly matters. The app is also infamous for being responsible in the ridiculous cancellations of varying media, even claiming that multiple cartoons are offensive rather than acknowledging their own toxicity. I believe that ‘TikTok’ should release its destructive lens rather than promote it.

I’d have to respectfully disagree with all statements made by both the comments and writer. I respect your right to your opinion, but the app its self is not toxic it’s the people who use it and how. Social media platforms like TiKTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and etc. are simply as stated “platforms”. You can’t blame the toxicity of the people on the app when you are part of the people who created it. We live in a society filled with fascism and propaganda coming in at all sides and many people are getting lost in it. We are all human and we are all “toxic” in our own way, but in that same light we are all good in our own ways and we have to remember to stop things that are harmful to our selves or others and instead build the things that make it a better for others. Tiktok is just one of many platforms that need work, but if you want the change you have to work for it by putting in the energy, effort, and time into reversing this “toxicity” however you can do it best. So, please remember to work and change the things that are harmful and instead make them more beneficial, one person at a time. P.S.- Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences.

Toxic platforms like Tik-Tok can ruin people’s lives, but there are some people on platforms like this that do not deserve to have all of their hard work removed. I can name multiple people on Tik-Tok that only aim to entertain and inform with art, music, insights on how life can be with disorders, and just make funny, non-discriminating memes and jokes. Things like Tik-Tok should be taken down, but there should be more platforms where those who don’t wish to be rude or hurtful can express their thoughts without having to share the space with toxic people.

Tiktok goes against our first amendment they will ban you if you say anything or do anything Conservative, Christian, Libertarian, or
Pro-Trump/Republican. We have a right to speak about our beliefs.
