Most people are aware of the skateboard, some are aware of the prototype hoverboards still being tested and retested today, but how many are aware of the Z-board? A Z-board, created by Ben Forman and Geoff Larson, is a motorized skateboard that has just recently been released to the public. The last time I tried to skateboard I face planted, repeatedly. However, after reading many gadget blogs I’ve come to the conclusion I want to try again- except this time on a Z- board. The machine is controlled by weight sensors in the board that can detect the amount of wait and trigger the direction of the board based on that. There is only one thing keeping the Z-board from being the Christmas gift of the season, the $650 plus shipping and handling price tag.
