DIY hair masks for summer

Now that summer is drawing near most girls are looking to get luscious locks for a not so large amount of money. Here are three easy hair masks that can remedy your split ends, all made from natural, household products.

The first is an Avocado Hair Mask. It has a lot for nutritional benefits and can be used as more than a dip for some tortilla chips.  You will need the following:

-Half of an avocado

-One egg yolk

What you do- Blend the ingredients together and start to work it through your hair starting from the bottom to your scalp. Wrap your hair in a shower cap and wait for about 15-20 minutes. After this rinse it out in the shower and shampoo and condition as usual.

The second is the well-known Coconut Oil Hair Mask. This is a pretty basic hair mask that just about every beauty guru has up their sleeve. You will need the following:

-Two parts coconut oil

-One part olive oil

What you do- Combine the oils and put it into your hair (mainly on the ends). Wrap hair into a shower cap and leave in for around 15-30 minutes depending on how damaged your hair is. Rinse out in shower and shampoo and condition as normal.

The Banana Hair Mask… prepare for tropical awesomeness to take your hair to the next level. You will need the following:

-One ripe banana

-One tablespoon of honey

What you do- Blend banana in a blender, making sure all chunks are smoothed out (this is VERY important! If you don’t, you’ll be stuck with banana chunks stuck in your hair all day). Apply to your hair. Wrap hair in a shower cap and wait 15-20 minutes. Rinse out in the shower, shampoo and condition as usual.
