Rap Music Blows Up

Rap Music Blows Up

These past couple years, Rap music has blown up tremendously with new releases of some new albums that have broke the internet. Lil Uzi Vert came out with Eternal Atake, which he was planning on dropping since 2017. He later came out with an album called Baby Pluto that broke the internet with features with Lil Tecca, 21 Savage, Chief Keef and a song called Bean, made in memory of professional basketball star Kobe Bryant. Female rappers, such as Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, have found their way to the top of the charts as well and a record number of names seem to be signing recording labels, such as Scorey, who cashed in 500k to make music for Polo G. R&B and drill music are gaining in popularity too. Drill rapper, 22Gz, has had three different songs hit the top 500 charts, building a new fan appreciation for how talented he is with his music. Juice WRLD also came out with a great album that had multiple songs hit the top 100 charts. The thing that makes Juice WRLD’s album stand out is that every song was freestyled. Rap enthusiasts waited patiently for PlayBoi Carti’s much anticipated album. After a lot of overhype, the album finally released in early 2021, garnering a lot of chatter and mixed reviews. Over the last few years, the Rap industry has been exploding, expanding and molding into something that Rap artists and music listeners can be excited about.
