“I decided to become an English teacher, but another thing I really love is history and reading. (That’s when) it dawned on me that teaching literature is a mixture of both. My favorite part about this job is being able to interact with the students and building my relationships with them. I love being able to teach kids things and seeing them improve on their academic skills. The worst part about this job is that it takes a lot of time to be a good teacher, but I just accept that’s the way it is and do it because at the end of the day, if I had the option to change my career choices, I absolutely wouldn’t.”
